Just completed a grand tour of the South Island of New Zealand in the Lexus SC340.

What a fantastic car and great service! We were picking up and dropping off at unusual hours and they had a really slick routine for accommodating our times. Having a convertible for the trip around the South Island (two weeks) really made it something special. I'd recommend these guys to anyone who likes to drive with the wind in their hair.

3 week tour of NZ enhanced by driving a classic Saab convertible
We hired the Saab convertible for 3 weeks to use in a self drive tour group (organised by a UK based company). We found the Saab to be comfortable, reliable, and quite fast enough for the NZ road network. Having a manual gearbox, it needs to be driven to its strengths, but we quickly got used to this. After about 2500 miles we were still enjoying it...
It is not a car for 4 people plus luggage, but for the 2 of us it was perfect.
We found Rent-a-classic easy to deal with and email support during the hire period was prompt and reassuring. Returning the car at the end of our 3 week journey was straightforward and we had no issues.

Richard and Stephen were lovely, and the whole process was seamless and friendly. The Lexus was a treat. If you're looking to treat yourself for a weekend, grab one of their convertibles and hit the road. Now convincing my wife we need a convertible.

I was the lucky last renter of the Saab 93 before it being moved on to a new owner. Picking up and dropping off the car was incredibly easy, Richard was very amiable and a fellow chatty petrol-head, so zero complaints. As for the experience as a whole I can't recommend it enough. This car was a highlight of our trip to Hanmer Springs and provided so much joy a sunny day with the top down. A rental Toyota may have had more space and been a tiny bit more comfortable but it would have made getting from A to B just another chore. With Rentaclassic I went driving just for the sake of it!

The pick up and drop off was smooth and friendly. Had the Lexus S430 which cruised along happily, Having the electric hardtop made switching between open top and closed effortless. Really made the traveling a great part of the trip.
